The IT Support & AMC Technician is responsible for first and second level support under Annual Maintenance Contracts. This role combines remote troubleshooting with scheduled on-site visits, preventive maintenance tasks, and hardware servicing.
Key responsibilities
Provide remote and on-site IT support for workstations, printers, and office peripherals.
Maintain Active Directory, user accounts, and basic Windows Server tasks.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and patch management under AMC terms.
Monitor backups and assist with restores and basic disaster recovery tasks.
Assist with network and router/switch troubleshooting at a basic level.
Install and configure CCTV endpoints, NVR/DVR basics as required.
Keep accurate service records and update ticketing system.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and vendors.
Required skills & qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
2 to 4 years experience in IT support or managed services.
Strong Windows desktop and server support skills (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019).
Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking.
Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Acronis) and virtualization basics (VMware/Hyper-V).
Good customer service and communication skills.
UAE driving license preferred; ability to travel between sites.
Experience
2+ years in helpdesk or field support; prior AMC or managed services exposure preferred.
